A friend, mentor and colleague of many members. Sadly, Dave lost his battle with cancer in 2013
The Dave Brown Memorial Award honors a CGHSFOA member who has shown outstanding achievements in their profession such as:
Outstanding leadership & professional excellence in their area
Participation in projects, meetings and activities that promote and advocate their profession for the benefit of all
Special or notable service to the Division
Extracurricular activities which provides the professional and/or the Division with commendable publicity and acclaim
Maximizes employee potential by mentoring and motivation
Achievements in demonstrating substantial improvements or cost savings to the organization
